Great race! 0.1023 to 0.1044 off the start line in Lo's favour, 1.1580 to sixty feet to Job's 1.1688, Lo riding on a cushion of flame, 4.3670/178.13 to the eighth to Job's 4.4576/168.96 and first to the stripe by 0.2095. Low ET of the event for Lo and another straight run.

Youngest Super Twin driver in the World?

This weekend Rolfstad Pro Dragracing attended at the Spring Nats 2010 at Gardermoen in Norway.
They are proud to announce that Jan Sturla Hegre passed his licens run and he is now the youngest Super Twin rider in the world!
At his first run as a licensed rider he pulled a 7.832 on the 1/4 mile.

And what a start! At sunday in the 3.rd qualification round, I think there was lot of "high five" in the Zodiac Team.

The result:

SPEEDGROUP take over administration for the UEM bike teams

Effective per March 23rd Speedgroup is to handle registration for the UEM teams to run the UEM Drag Racing Championship.

ENTRY FORMS for the first UEM Drag Racing Championship event at Kunmadaras, Hungary can be downloaded BY CLICKING HERE!

Nordic Cup 2009

The last race in the Cup was at Vansbro in Sweden. It was 4 bikes who was racing in the Nordic Cup this weekend. Vidar Ravnsborg take the win this weekend, and became with that number two in the Cup.

Trond Høiberget won the Nordic Cup with only one point, and with that he followed up The Norwegian Championship earlier this season, and took the "double" in 2009. This was Trond´s first season in Super Twin Top Fuel. we send our congratulations to Trond and his team.

Totaly there was 11 riders who was participated in the Nordic Cup in 2009.

The super twin turned out to be the many explosions and problems. We started with 21 bikes entered but Roman Sixta did not come after his problem in Finland and Torbjörn Svenssons bike was not ready to race. So we had 19 bikes that did pass the technical inspection.
After qualification was it Hans Olav Olstad against his Norwegian friend Matti, and Matti did take the win since Olstad had some engine problems, but Matti also had some problems and did spray the track with oil that did almost take an hour to clean up. And there was some more problems so Matti could not race in the next round against Lorenz Stauble that did win over Svein Olaf Rolfstad that during qualification did scare us all then the chain brake and made a cloud of plastic. But for the handy Norwegians was it no problem to fix. It might not been a show winner but id looked okay. On the other half was it Job Heezen that was number two qualifier against Samu Kemppainen from Finland and then Job’s bike stopped was it a win for Samu . But in the next round against Per Bengtsson who had won over Greger Johansson was Per to strong and did win over Samu. An small notice is that in the round between Per and Greger was it some problems with the timing equipment and they had to shot off. Then they did the rerun was I very scared since the stage beam was behaving a little bit strange and I was afraid that we should have some more problems. But nothing happens and there was a good run. So in the semi was it Per Bengtsson against Lorenz Stauble.

Then decided the weather that it was enough of racing. At 16.22 did it start to rain some small drops and all the time then the track was almost ready for race did it start again. And at21.30 decided the race direction that it was to late. Then was still not braking area dry and it started to get dark. But I must say that looking at so many people waiting to get the track dry and helping with this is a very good example of sportsmanship. It was sorry that we did not manage to finish the finals in all classes.

In Super Twin was it very hard this time. 18 riders had entered the race for just the 8 places. We did have riders from many countries and a lot of new Finnish riders that I never seen before. So many that I have hard to understand all new names. But with some good help from our UEM member Jari Halonen was it no problem at all.

Lorenz Stauble that was the number one qualifier followed bye Per Bengtsson from Sweden that did qualify as number two and Job Heezen as number three. In the first round was it all the low qualifiers that went on and in the semi final was it Stauble against Olstad first. And Lorenze did take the win. In the other semi was it Per Bengtsson against Job Heezen and Per did take that win. So it was number one and two qualifier in the final but this time did number two, Per Bengtsson manage to take the win. That was good for the championship.

Some other small notice is that Jaska Salakari was back on the track with not one but two new bikes that still has some small problems but then that is solved will we see some very good times from this two bikes. There is a lot of new things on these two bikes that if all works may change a lot of ways how to handle such bikes. There is a complete new fuel system.

I must also mention that now did Anders Karling also get his bike to work without any bangs as last year. Every time did he improve the time of the bike so I am waiting for next race for him. At Mantorp will we have a very good field. It is 20 riders that has entered in Super Twin for the 8 bike field on Sunday-

Wecome to the new web site of STDBA.

Just now its have very little content, but after we coming home from Finland and the 2. round in UEM, we will post news and photos here.

And for all riders in STDBA, if you want to upgrade your site, please send me some words and pictures.
